Hundreds of fish were found dead on the shores of the Ottawa River in the far south of the Pontiac riding. CHIP 101.9 talked to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks, (ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs ) Caroline Bujol, who explained the situation in details;

In an interview with CHIP, the representative address concerns on the rarity of the situation and the amount of fish discovered, but as of yet, there are no bands on the use of the Ottawa river, though the ministry is asking residents to remains caution until the lab results come in.
