This week, CHIP 101.9 spoke to Sylvain Bégin, one of the key organizers of Canada en Fête in Mansfield who gave more details about the festivities:

As confirmed by Bégin, the weather expected over the weekend will not have any effect on the festivities.

Many Canada Day celebrations will be held over the weekend and CHIP 101.9 has made a list of the different activities in the Pontiac:

Mansfield-et-Pontefract
Canada en Fête at Parc Amyotte: June 28-30.
Music: Martin Deschamps, Marjo, Breen Leboeuf, Blast From the Past, Rosalie and Conrad Denault, Martin Duford, Xception Group, DJ Daniel Lacroix, DJ Martin Leguerrier.

Otter Lake
Canada Day: Sunday, June 30 at 394 Tessier Street
*Grand opening of the Otter Lake multipurpose trail at 3:30 pm
2pm: Canada Day parade
3pm: opening ceremony
Music: Reg & Shane from 2:30 pm to 6 pm and Blast from the Past at 7 pm
Horseshoes tournament and fireworks
Inflatable games for children

Rapides-des-Joachims
Activites in Rapides-des-Joachims on Sunday, June 30th for Canada Day

Shawville
Soapbox race on Friday, June 28th (6:30 pm registration, Race starts at 7:00 pm), on Victoria Avenue Hill.
1st of July :
Community Luncheon at the Lions Hall 8:00am to 10:30am
Flea Market at the Shawville Arena 9am to 4pm
Canada Day Parade starts at 1 pm on Rectory Road and will follow Main Street to the fair grounds.
Fireworks around 21:30.
