The organization Committee of the Alumni Montreal Canadians hockey Game, which was held on March 30th, during the Fort-Coulonge/Mansfield Carnaval, announced the financial results of the day as ”negative.”

The deficit of the day was $624 with almost 300 people fewer than last time the retired Canadians were in Fort-Coulonge. Despite the reported deficit, the committee says that they are not disappointed because they achieved their objectives, which was to organize an activity for the Pontiac community. In addition they will still give $ 6,500 to the Centre des Loisirs des Draveurs. “We are comfortably able to give this amount, given that during the last editions of the carnival, we always kept an amount to create a working capital, in case we would have a year with less income but still have money to make a deposit like we have done this year.” said one of the committee members, Paul Boisvert, adding that, alone, bringing the former Montreal Canadians to Fort-Coulonge costed of $ 21,270.38. The committee wishes to thank the volunteers who donated their time during this day, which attracted nearly 500 spectators. According to Paul Boisvert, the carnival should be back next year in its formula of the last years; such as the gala, the coronation of the queen, a hockey tournament, activities for the children and a dance party.
