National Park idea for L’Île-du-Grand-Calumet / Renfrew?

Wednesday, February 20th, the Warden of the MRC Jane Toller met with the Warden of the Renfrew county, Jennifer Murphy, along with other representatives of the MRC and the County. During the media debrief at the meeting of the regional council of mayors, Wednesday night in Campbell’s Bay, Jane Toller said that among other things, the National Park project idea for the municipality of l’Île-du Grand-Calumet was at top of discussion during the meeting with Renfrew. She specified the subject matter:

As a reminder, no official environmental study has been carried out on the land where the national Park could potentially be established; the Roché fendu in the Iles Lafontaine. More information on this matter will be available soon.
