School perseverance: ESSC’s Gabriel Gagnon journey underlined

As part of Force Avenir, a student from Sieur-de-Coulonge caught the attention, 17-year-old Gabriel Gagnon of Shawville.

In a published text, he says that at birth, he weighed 1 lb and 10 ounces and measured 12 inches. At one week old, he had to have the arterial canal (heart) operated and his feet corrected.

In the text, Gabriel Gagnon summarized moments that were sometimes difficult in his personal, family and academic life. He noted the support of the staff at Sieur-de-Coulonge High School, including Nathalie Soucie.
