The First edition of the Festival international du Cinéma des Femmes de Fort-Coulonge wrapped up yesterday night. Key promoter and organiser of the festival, Suzanne Vallière-Nolet, gave CHIP a positive review of the weekend.

What marked the event was the presence of international Film Producer Alanis Obomsawin.

– Audience Short film Award: Hier à Nyassan (Catherine Hébert)

– Audience Long film Award: Modifié (Aube Giroux)

-Jury Short film Award: L’affront des cimes (Florence Pelletier et Caroline Côté)

– Jury Long film Award: Yolanda (Jeannine Gagné) et Le Chemin de la Guérison (Alanis O’Bomsawin)

– L’Entourelle’s special Prize : Burkinabé Rising (Iara Lee)
