An amount of $ 400,000 has been granted by the Quebec government to support the renovation of homes in the MRC Pontiac for the RénoRégion program (PRR). This amount is reserved for low-income to mid-income homeowners in the MRC Pontiac for much needed work on their residence.

RénoRégion, although administered by the Société d’habitation du Québec (SHQ), is managed locally by the MRC Pontiac. MRC Pontiac Warden, Jane Toller, says this is good news for the region.

According to Jane Toller, the money received will help meet the high demand to renovation Pontiac homes.

The $ 400,000 is part of the last budget of the Government of Quebec, which announced $ 20 million for the RenoRegion Program (PRR) by the Société d’habitation du Québec (SHQ) in 2018-2019. The Pontiac MLA and Minister of Transport André Fortin further elaborates.

Remember that for a property to be eligible, the cost of work must at least $ 2,000.
