Update on upcoming by-elections in Shawville and l’Île-du-Grand-Calumet

The municipality of Shawville announced municipal by-election with a yet to be determined date. Two candidates are now running for the vacated councilor seat, both William McCleary former mayoral candidate in Shawville during last November election and Sherwin Greer. The deadline to apply for the Shawville Municipal Council is Friday, May 11 at 4:30 pm.

In Ile-du-Grand-Calumet, there will also be a by-election for the councilor’s seat vacated by Patrice Dumouchel.
