Location Martin Lalonde confirmed to CHIP 101.9 that they have officially filed a $ 90,000 lawsuit against the municipality of Mansfield.

Location Martin Lalonde criticizes the municipality for having awarded the contract for waste collection to Les Entreprises R. Charrette, which in their opinion did not include details such as GST and PST numbers and whose business office was no longer registered as of August of 2015 because of lack of producing their annual report to the Québec registrar’s office.

Following a request to access the information submitted by Les Entreprises R. Charrette’s, Lalonde confirmed that there was a lack of information submitted in order to comply with the terms and condition to tender the contract. As a result, Location Martin Lalonde made the decision to take legal actions against the municipality of Mansfield.

As indicated in past CHIP 101.9 news reports and interviews, the municipality of Mansfield indicated at the time that the council had awarded the contract for the collection of waste to R. Charrette since their long-term cost was lower.

In 2016, Location Martin Lalonde won the bid for tender for waste collection in the municipality of Fort-Coulonge and that at the time; a petition with several signatures by citizens had circulated in the municipality and had been filed in support of Les Entreprises R. Charrette for collecting the waste in the municipality of Fort-Coulonge.
