A vehicle was stopped by police officers from the Sûreté du Québec in the MRC Pontiac at around 09:30 Wednesday morning, for speeding on Highway 148 in Bristol. The suspect was traveling at 145 km / h in a 90 Zone. The 20-year-old woman was overtaking by police before pulling over and coming to a stop.

She received two charges totaling fines of over $ 1,000, and 13 demerit points were added to her driver’s license. Her license has been suspended for 7 days. The vehicle has also been impounded. The suspect could also face charges under the Tobacco Tax Act, which is a provincial law.
