Calumet South Project on the territory of the Municipality of Waltham
In an article in the Pontiac Journal, the mining company Sphinx confirmed that it was interested in the zinc potential that could be found a little further north of the Calumet South project, but this time in the municipality of Waltham. The mining project, which bears the name of the former Algonquian chief Tessouat, is of interest to the company, which believes that there is not only a mining potential in Grand Calumet Island but also north of the Pontiac MRC.
The president of the sphinx company Normand Champigny said that zinc has sparked increasing interest given its value on the markets. Sphinx will hold its annual general meeting next week, Tuesday September 5th at 2 pm in the Municipality of Grand-Calumet Island.
