Launch of the Sûreté du Québec’s new website and regional Twitter accounts
The Sûreté du Québec has launched two new media platforms to better serve the public . A new website was launched with a more efficient search engine, a simplified information architecture that will highlighted the most consulted sections of the old site.
Also, a new regional Twitter account with easier access to relevant information depending on the area served has been set up. The Pontiac will have more access to information. Sergeant Marc Tessier of the Sûreté du Québec said that it was impossible to pass on information effectively via the province wide Sûreté du Québec Twitter account:
With this new website, the Sûreté du Québec wishes to bring to the forefront the work of its police officers, both in gendarmerie and in investigations. The many images and videos now allow a glance the mission and the vision of the organization.
