Newspapers of the Pontiac stand out at the Gala of the Association of Quebec Regional Newspapers
The two newspapers of the Pontiac distinguished themselves at the Gala organized by the Quebec community newspapers Association (l’Association des journaux régionaux du Québec), which was held last Friday in Sainte-Adèle in the Laurentians region.
Lilly and Sophie Ryan, owners of the Pontiac Journal among others, earned the Lindsay Crysler Outstanding Achievement Award for their contribution to the development of newspapers in the community.
Also, Allyson Beauregard of the Pontiac Journal received first place in the category “Best editorial”.
Journalist with the Pontiac’s Journal and general manager of Pontiac’s community radio, Francois Carrier, won the first place in the best French language editorial category.
The Equity won first place in the best front page category and Andrea Cranfiels won first place in the Best Agricultural story category.
