MARTINEAU STREET IN OTTER-LAKE BECOMES THE FIRST STREET IN QUEBEC TO OFFICIALLY PARTICIPATE IN TREAT ACCESSIBLY

28 October 2026 à 3:28 pm

The community of Otter Lake will have one more reason to celebrate Halloween this year! Rue Martineau officially became the first and only street in Quebec to be part of the Treat Accessibly program, which aims to make trick-or-treating accessible to all children, regardless of ability.

Thanks to citizen engagement, a special treat night is being held on Halloween night, October 31st from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to participate in this initiative to provide an inclusive and festive experience for all families.

The community of Otter Lake notes that this initiative is part of a long tradition of local celebrations, including the Halloween parade and the “You’ve Been Booed” activity.

Organizers are also inviting those interested to set up a kiosk on Martineau Street to contribute to the celebration.

This initiative highlights the importance of community support and solidarity so that everyone can fully enjoy the magic of Halloween.
