A retro neon-coloured evening to celebrate Otter Lake’s 150th anniversary

OL150 invites the public to step back in time with a 1980s-themed Glow Party on Saturday, November 14th at the Otter Lake Recreation Hall. Admission will be free.

The event will start at 5:00 pm with activities for the whole family. Children will be able to enjoy free fluorescent tattoos, bright accessories and age-appropriate music. A Bagged Taco Dinner will also be offered from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for participants.

Starting at 7:00 p.m., the atmosphere will be more adult-oriented with music and dance to extend the evening festivities.

There are several activities and contests on the agenda, including limbo challenges and frozen dance. Participants will be able to compete for prizes. The organizers also invite visitors to take out their vintage clothing, neon colours and accessories inspired by the 1980s.

A late night snack with announcement of contest winners is scheduled for 10:00pm.

With this festive evening, the OL150 committee wishes to offer the community an opportunity to gather and celebrate the last party of the year in a friendly and memorable atmosphere.
