My Employer is the Best contest is back
La Table Éducation Outaouais, in partnership with the region’s Carrefours jeunesse-emploi, is launching the third edition of the “Mon employeur, c’est le meilleur!” contest. , which recognizes employers who support the educational success of youth.
The competition highlights employer practices that promote a balance between education, work and personal life. A total of 140 committed employers contribute to this initiative in the Outaouais.
Young people aged 14 and over who live in the region, are studying or plan to return to school, and who are currently employed or interned in the Outaouais in 2026 may submit their employer’s application. The deadline to participate is December 4th, 2026.
To be eligible, you must include how the employer is promoting school-work-life balance or encouraging student retention.
Five student employees will be selected and will each receive a $100 gift card to spend at a local business. The one associated with the winning employer will receive a $50 bonus, for a total of $150.
The winner will be announced on February 13th, 2027 at an Olympic game during Hooked on School Days.
Participating employers must, among other things, offer flexible hours during exams, encourage further education and support young people’s educational and professional aspirations.
According to Steve Brabant, president of the Table Éducation Outaouais and executive director of the Cégep de l’Outaouais, this initiative helps promote workplaces that make a tangible contribution to youth success.
