Santé Québec Outaouais: a new name for the facility

The Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de l’Outaouais (CISSSO) is now called Santé Québec Outaouais. This change is part of a provincial effort to harmonize the names of institutions in order to facilitate understanding of the health care system.

In a radio broadcast, the organization stated that this name change does not result in any changes for service recipients, but providers are encouraged to update their records and use the name “Santé Québec Outaouais” on their invoices, credit notes, statements of account and other billing documents.

Why this change? Among other things, to make the network easier to understand and navigate.

This new name is in line with Santé Québec’s desire to standardize the names of its establishments throughout the province.
