Les Maisons des jeunes du Pontiac is looking for a youth activity leader / youth worker to work with those aged 6 to 17 in the Shawville and Campbell’s Bay areas.
This is a full-time position of 25 to 35 hours per week, ideal for a dynamic individual who wishes to contribute to the development and well-being of local youth.
Key responsibilities
The successful candidate will welcome youth, assess their needs and participate in planning and organizing activities. She will also be required to intervene with youth, collaborate with the team and ensure the safety of the youth and the site.
Profile sought
The profile sought includes:
Be 18 years of age or older and have relevant training or experience in the field.
Experience in facilitating or intervening with youth aged 6 to 17.
Be bilingual in English and French, both written and oral.
Demonstrate creativity, autonomy, leadership and good listening skills.
Possession of a valid driver’s license. CPR and first aid certification is an asset.
Conditions of employment
Hourly wage will be determined by experience and qualifications. Must be available during the day, evening and weekends.
