Héma-Québec invites donors to roll up their sleeves in Shawville

Héma-Québec is encouraging the public to adopt a new good habit this fall: donating blood.

A blood drive organized by the Pontiac Agricultural Society will take place on Thursday, October 22nd, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Shawville Fair Grounds – Exhibition Hall, located at 215 Lang Street in Shawville.

The goal is to collect enough donations to encourage 70 people to roll up their sleeves and contribute to the blood supply.

Héma-Québec recommends making an appointment before coming to the drive. Appointments can be made online through its website or by phone.

It’s worth noting that Héma-Québec reports that every 80 seconds, someone in Quebec needs blood. Every donation can therefore help meet patients’ needs.
