Artificial intelligence is becoming essential in music creation

Artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly important role in the music industry. According to an analysis by the SubmitHub platform of over one million songs released in July 2026, nearly 40% of the tracks analyzed showed signs of AI use.

Specifically, 23.2% of the songs were found to be entirely generated by artificial intelligence, while 15.3% contained some traces of this technology.

The study also raises the issue of transparency. Among the artists whose songs were identified as containing AI, 31% stated that they had not used this technology when questioned.

The founder of SubmitHub believes that listeners should have enough information to decide for themselves whether they want to listen to music created with the help of AI.

As this technology becomes increasingly accessible, the music industry will therefore need to continue to consider transparency, creators’ rights, and the distinction between a creative tool and content entirely generated by a machine.
