The Alzheimer Society of Outaouais presents its Fall 2026 program

1 September 2026 à 9:09 am

As summer draws to a close, the Alzheimer Society of Outaouais is launching a new season with a diverse program designed for people living with neurocognitive disorders, as well as their families and caregivers.

Throughout the fall, several activities will be offered, including support groups, caregiver circles, training sessions, conferences, and cognitive stimulation and wellness activities. The goal is to provide opportunities to learn, share experiences, practice self-care, and connect with others facing similar challenges.

A key event this fall will be the launch of the Alzheimer Society of Outaouais’ new Resource Centre. It will be presented to the public at the open house on September 22nd, 2026, held in conjunction with World Alzheimer’s Day. The centre will offer resources on neurocognitive disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, and cognitive health.

The program begins on September 3rd with the “First Thursday Chats,” an online conference led by Dr. Véronique Bohbot. She will discuss the link between spatial memory, cognitive aging, and cognitive health, as well as the influence of certain daily habits such as routine, stress, and GPS use.

The Society invites the public to discover its full fall 2026 program and take advantage of the many learning, support, and networking opportunities offered in the coming months.
