Pontiac Desjardins members to vote on proposed merger with Gracefield Caisse

Desjardins members in Mansfield-et-Pontefract are being invited to an information session about a proposed merger with Caisse populaire Desjardins Gracefield.

The boards of the two financial cooperatives say the merger would bring together their resources, providing members with access to a larger team, a broader range of expertise and several service centres.

They also say the combined cooperative would be in a stronger position to support community projects in the region.

An information session will be held Monday, August 31st, at 6:30 p.m. at the Caisse des Rivières de Pontiac, 243 Hérault Street in Mansfield-et-Pontefract.

Following the session, members will be invited to a special general meeting on September 14th, where they will have the opportunity to vote on the proposed merger.
