The law firm Lex Group has filed a class-action lawsuit against Honda Canada concerning rear windows that may unexpectedly crack or shatter on certain vehicles.

The affected models are the 2023-2024 Honda CR-V, 2023-2024 Honda HR-V, and 2019-2023 Acura RDX. According to the lawsuit, the rear window of some vehicles may break without being struck by an external object, including when a door is closed, when the vehicle is parked, or even while driving.

The lawsuit alleges that Honda has been aware of the problem for several years but has not issued a recall in Canada. Owners have also shared their experiences on social media, reporting situations where their rear windows were suddenly damaged.

The class action lawsuit seeks, among other things, a recall of the affected vehicles, reimbursement of repair or replacement costs, and compensation for affected consumers. For now, no action is required from owners, as the court must first decide whether the class action can be authorized.
