Youth White‑Tailed Deer Hunting Weekend scheduled for late October 2026 in Québec
Youth White‑Tailed Deer Hunting Weekend scheduled for late October 2026 in Québec
The traditional Youth Weekend for white-tailed deer hunting will return on October 31st and November 1st, 2026, in all hunting zones in Quebec where white-tailed deer hunting is permitted, with the exception of Anticosti Island.
This event aims to introduce young hunters to supervised white-tailed deer hunting, allowing them to participate in a controlled and regulated environment. Several antlerless deer hunting permits are allocated to three categories of young hunters to encourage their participation.
According to authorities, registration for the draws closes today. Those interested must register through the Société des établissements de plein air du Québec (Sépaq) platform: Registration for special antlerless deer hunting permits.
Participants are also encouraged to prepare by consulting the rules and requirements for the next generation of hunters on the Quebec government website: Quebec Hunting Next Generation Program.
This special weekend is part of ongoing efforts to promote safe and responsible hunting practices, while also regulating access to wildlife resources in Quebec.
