Pontiac fathers celebrated at an art opening in Portage‑du‑Fort

The many faces of fatherhood will be highlighted on June 18th, 2026, in Portage‑du‑Fort during the opening of the photographic exhibition Pères du Pontiac, presented by AutonHomme Pontiac.

The event, which begins at 6 p.m. at 28 Mill Street, will also mark the launch of Pères en lumière, a project designed to showcase the role of fathers and their contribution to the well‑being of families and the community.

Visitors will be able to discover the work of photographer Jody Koch, whose exhibition will remain on display until July 9. The evening will also feature a talk by filmmaker Marie‑France Laval, along with a screening of short films exploring different realities of fatherhood.

A fundraising auction will be held to benefit Art Pontiac and AutonHomme Pontiac, and refreshments will be served.

The project is supported by the Pontiac Regional County Municipality, the Government of Quebec, and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec.

According to the organizers, the initiative aims to spark reflection on the diversity of fatherhood experiences while encouraging dialogue between citizens, artists, and community workers.

The event is open to the entire public.
