The Otter Lake Recreation Association is preparing a major Canada Day celebration
The Otter Lake Recreation Association is inviting the public to take part in its Canada Day celebration, which will be held on July 1st at 347 Tessier Street in Otter Lake.
Festivities will begin at 2 p.m. with a community parade, followed by the opening ceremony at 3 p.m. Participants will then be able to enjoy live music from The Reg Carkner Band, who will provide entertainment throughout the afternoon until dusk.
Several family‑friendly activities are also planned. Starting at 3:30 p.m., a dog show will allow pet owners to showcase their companions in categories such as Best Costume and Best Trick. Inflatable games will also be set up on site for children to enjoy.
Visitors will be able to enjoy music indoors, while a bar and barbecue will be available throughout the event.
The day will conclude at dusk with a fireworks display, rain or shine.
Organizers are also inviting local merchants and artisans to take part in the event. Vendors are welcome and must provide their own setup.
The Otter Lake Recreation Association hopes to welcome a large number of residents and visitors for this day of celebration, music, family activities, and community gathering.
