The Outaouais delegation has returned to Gatineau after taking part in the Rendez-vous panquébécois (RVPQ) of Secondaire en spectacle, the largest gathering of amateur artists in Quebec.

The event was held from May 28th to 31st in Sept-Îles, where nearly 750 young people from across the province came together to perform on stage, take part in training sessions, and discover the attractions of the host city.

The Outaouais region was proudly represented by 45 young participants from 10 high schools, accompanied by artists, facilitators, a technician, an organizer, a journalist, and independent participants. The Carcajous du nord from École secondaire Sieur‑de‑Coulonge were also in attendance.

The youth took part in a varied program that included performances, artistic development workshops, as well as cultural and tourist activities such as meetings with guest artists, creative workshops, and outdoor activities.

According to Mélanie Robitaille, Program Coordinator at Loisir sport Outaouais, the event is above all a powerful human experience.

School staff who accompanied the delegation also highlighted the positive impact of the experience on the students’ motivation, creativity, and perseverance.

For many participants, this was a first-time experience—one they described as memorable and inspiring, helping them discover new talents, build connections, and grow personally.

During the closing ceremony, the organizing committee also announced that the next edition of the RVPQ will take place in L’Assomption, from May 27th to 30th, 2027.
