The BAPE is launching a public information period regarding the Samonix aquaculture project in the Pontiac region
The Bureau d’audiences publiques sur l’environnement (BAPE) will soon launch a new public information period regarding the proposed land-based aquaculture farm project by Samonix Inc. in the Pontiac RCM.
This public information phase will run from May 27th to June 26th, 2026, and will allow citizens to review project-related documents and follow its progress. The project aims to establish an intensive recirculating aquaculture system, a technology that enables fish farming in a closed system where water is continuously filtered and reused.
The BAPE invites interested parties to subscribe to the project alert available on its website to receive updates and information regarding this public process.
The complete documentation regarding the project will also be available online throughout the public information period.
