Large item day on May 30th in L’Isle-aux-Allumettes

The Municipality of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes is announcing a Large Item Drop-Off Day, taking place on May 30th at the local transfer station site.

This event is intended exclusively for large items that are not typically accepted in regular curbside collection, such as mattresses, furniture, and sofas. Residents are asked to sort their items before bringing them to the site.

The municipality notes that this day is not intended for household waste. Household garbage will be charged either by the bag or by weight. Construction waste will also be weighed and billed accordingly.

Certain restrictions apply: no boats, trailers, or vehicles will be accepted during this special collection.

This initiative aims to make it easier for residents to dispose of bulky items while ensuring efficient and controlled management of materials brought to the L’Isle-aux-Allumettes transfer station.
