Bourgeons éclatés : a free youth festival to spark a love of reading
The Maison des arts littéraires de Gatineau is launching the third edition of “Bourgeons éclatés” (Bursting Buds), a free mini youth festival taking place on May 22nd and 23rd at the Centre culturel Jacques-Auger in the Hull sector.
The event welcomes children aged 12 and under, accompanied by their families, with a rich and playful program designed to inspire a love of reading, writing, and storytelling.
On the schedule: theatre, creative workshops, readings, screenings, and interactive activities. Highlights include original performances such as The Pizza Man with Dominique Sacy, El Kapoutchi! with Alexandre Courteau, as well as collage workshops, zine-making, and even a participatory exhibition inspired by Hervé Tullet.
The event also features school activities on May 22nd and a family day on May 23rd, with reservations required due to limited space.
Bourgeons éclatés aims to offer an immersive and festive experience that encourages young people to develop their imagination and their love of words.
