Moisson Outaouais announces an expansion project

Moisson Outaouais is launching its “Growing Together” expansion project, a major initiative aimed at better responding to the rising need for food security in the region.

Moisson Outaouais reports that requests for food assistance have increased by 48% over the past four years, with more than 94,000 requests each month.

This $6 million project will expand its facilities by 8,200 square feet, increase storage and distribution capacity, improve the management of fresh food, and provide greater support to community organizations across the Outaouais.

Ultimately, Moisson Outaouais will also be able to triple its meal production, recover more food supplies, and better support families, children, and vulnerable individuals.

A fundraising campaign is currently underway to complete this essential project.
