A nutrition conference for caregivers and seniors in Shawville

The Connexions Resource Centre will be hosting a conference dedicated to nutrition and health for caregivers and seniors on May 28th in Shawville.

The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the St. Paul Parish Hall, located on Main Street. It will feature registered dietitian France Ladouceur from the CISSS de l’Outaouais.

During this session, several nutrition-related topics will be discussed, including the Canada Food Guide, essential nutrients, bone and heart health, the prevention of type 2 diabetes, and digestive health. Practical tips will also be shared on how to eat well with a small appetite or on a limited budget.

Jada Cormier, communications officer at the Connexions Centre, provides all the details:

“Connexions Center in Shawville invites the public of the Pontiac region to a conference dedicated to health and nutrition. Join nutritionist and dietitian France Ladouceur from the CISSS de l’Outaouais on May 28th from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m, at the St. Paul Parish Hall, located on Main Street in Shawville. Participants will learn more about the Canada Food Guide, essential nutrients, bone and heart health, digestive health, type 2 diabetes prevention, as well as tips to eat well on a budget. The session will be in english.”

The event aims to equip participants with tools to improve their well-being and that of their loved ones, while also promoting healthy eating habits.

Refreshments will be served on site, and the activity will be offered in English.
