Intergénérations Québec: Forum en fête and Quebec Intergenerational Week in May

1 May 2026 à 9:05 am

Intergénérations Québec is inviting the public to take part in two major events aimed at strengthening ties between generations.

Forum en fête will take place on Thursday, May 14th at the Centre Québecor. This year’s event will focus on intergenerational cohabitation through two panel discussions bringing together various community and social sector representatives. The day will also feature the presentation of awards for the annual Quebec intergenerational initiatives contest.

The organization will also use the occasion to launch Quebec Intergenerational Week (SQI), which will run from May 17th to 23rd across Quebec. This week aims to highlight projects and actions that promote connections between generations. Loïc de Chabot, responsible for event organization at Intergénérations Québec:

“From May 17 to 23, Quebec Intergenerational Week will take place across the province, featuring around 100 activities aimed at bringing generations together and celebrating what unites us. The public is invited to take part in workshops, exhibitions, correspondence projects, and community initiatives. Organizations, schools, and municipalities can also join the program by registering an activity online at intergenerationsquebec.org under the “Quebec Intergenerational Week 2026” section. Intergénérations Québec also invites the public to Forum en Fête on Thursday, May 14 at the Centre Québecor in Sherbrooke. This year’s theme is intergenerational cohabitation, with testimonials, concrete projects, and the unveiling of the 2026 Intergenerational Initiatives Contest winners.”

Intergénérations Québec, a charitable organization active for more than 30 years, reminds the public that the National Assembly of Quebec officially recognized the third week of May in 2022 as Quebec Intergenerational Week.
