The MRC Tour was officially launched this Tuesday, April 14th, in Campbell’s Bay, where six community and environmental organizations met with municipal representatives to begin a series of regional discussions.
This initiative aims to connect with local stakeholders, listen to their realities, share the values of the participating organizations, and gain a better understanding of local issues. It also seeks to demystify certain perceptions and strengthen relationships in order to support the development of impactful projects for rural communities.
On board the hybrid vehicle Horizons Partagés, the team experienced a rather memorable outing: in addition to a slight earthquake felt during the trip, three deer were spotted near the route, highlighting the close connection between the initiative and the natural landscape of the Pontiac.
The organizers extended their thanks to the Municipality of Campbell’s Bay and to Warden Jane Toller for their warm welcome.
The tour will continue in the coming MRCs of the region.
