To stay healthy and boost your immune system, focus on seasonal fruits and vegetables, high-quality protein, and whole grains. Drink plenty of water or herbal teas, incorporate healthy fats like nuts or avocados, and opt for warm, comforting meals. Limit refined sugars and processed foods, and eat at regular intervals to maintain your energy throughout the day.

“During winter, food can influence our energy, our morale and our immune system. In season produce, such as cabbage, carrots, leeks or citrus fruits contain essential vitamins and minerals for our immunity. Soups and stews are perfect to stay warm and eat more vegetables. It’s also important to stay hydrated even if we’re less thirsty due to the cold; water, tea and broth help maintain balance in our bodies. Winter is also a great time to integrate protein and fiber in our diet to maintain energy throughout the day. Sharing meals and culinary traditions with the family helps with our general well-being and fellowship as it is a natural antidote against the low spirits of short days. With a healthy diet, winter can be energetic, comforting and flavorful for the whole family.”
