Mansfield Municipality Warms Hearts at Local CHSLD on Valentine’s Day

This week, the Municipality of Mansfield-et-Pontefract had the pleasure of visiting the 40 residents of the Mansfield CHSLD to present them with a small Valentine’s Day gift.

Although the visit was brief, it succeeded in warming many hearts and creating joyful moments of smiles and shared connection.

Sandra Armstrong, Mayor of Mansfield, shares all the details.

The municipal council hopes that this initiative will be repeated in the future.

Additionally, the Municipality of Mansfield-et-Pontefract informs residents that a public consultation will be held in Fort-Coulonge on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 525 Baume Street, Fort-Coulonge.

This meeting is being held as part of the “Age-Friendly Municipality” (MADA) initiative of the MRC de Pontiac. It provides an opportunity to engage with residents—particularly those aged 55 and over, as well as caregivers—on issues, challenges, and potential actions to improve the quality of life for seniors in the region.

Objectives of the consultation:

Discuss the needs and challenges faced by seniors;
Share your experiences and ideas;
Contribute to the co-creation of concrete solutions for a more inclusive and supportive environment that promotes active aging.
