To help strengthen the development of public recreation in rural communities, Loisir Sport Outaouais is offering free 90-minute training sessions this winter for municipal elected officials responsible for recreation in each of the Outaouais region’s rural MRCs.

These evening sessions will allow participants to get to know one another and gain a clearer understanding of their roles in organizing and planning recreation services that meet the needs of all residents.

Normand Veillette of Loisir Sport Outaouais shares the full details.

According to Loisir Sport Outaouais, the development of public recreation begins with informed strategic decisions that reflect the real needs of communities.

The organization aims to build strong, lasting relationships with municipal elected officials in order to support the vitality and accessibility of recreation services for all.
