The Pontiac Association for Leisure Activities for People with Intellectual Disabilities (ALPHI), in partnership with the Centre Serge Bélair and the Maison de la Famille du Pontiac in Fort-Coulonge, organized a day of activities followed by a traditional Christmas lunch on December 5. The event was made possible thanks to the generosity and outstanding efforts of volunteers, including those from Transport Action, who played a key role in its success.

The Pontiac Directorate of Home Support, Disability, and Rehabilitation (DSADDR) also contributed significantly, with five staff members on hand to provide necessary assistance and ensure the well-being of participants.

A total of 61 participants, aged 10 to 75, enjoyed a festive day filled with smiles and shared moments. Each attendee received a gift from ALPHI, adding a touch of magic to the celebration.

As a non-profit community organization, ALPHI continues its essential mission of promoting social inclusion and integration for individuals living with intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum disorders. By offering accessible leisure activities in the Pontiac and Outaouais regions, the association enables participants to fully engage in community life, feel valued, and be recognized as active members of society.

This event demonstrates that when organizations, volunteers, and staff work together, it is possible to create spaces that celebrate diversity and ensure everyone finds their place—a testament to the fact that collaboration is at the heart of inclusion.
