CJEP: Exploratory Visit to Pontiac for Two Doctors from France

In partnership with the CISSS de l’Outaouais, two doctors from France, Dr. Mathias and Dr. Marie, recently took part in an exploratory visit to the region.

The purpose of their visit was to discover the local lifestyle, medical facilities, and everything the Pontiac region has to offer. During their stay, they toured medical centers in Fort-Coulonge, Shawville, and Chapeau, as well as local housing and schools. Karim El Kerch, General Director of the Carrefour jeunesse-emploi du Pontiac, shares insights about their visit to the region:

The visit proved to be a very positive experience, convincing both doctors to settle in the region and practice their profession locally. This is excellent news for the community and a strong example of Pontiac’s dynamism in attracting new talent to the healthcare sector.

The project is part of the efforts by Place aux jeunes Pontiac, which supports professionals wishing to establish themselves in the region while helping them integrate into the local community.
