Jean-Pierre Landry Envisions a Different Kind of Forestry Industry in the Pontiac

CHIP 101.9 wraps up its election coverage with interviews featuring the candidates for Warden of the MRC Pontiac. The final participant in this series is Jean-Pierre Landry, who chose to focus on the theme of the economy.

A former municipal councillor in Campbell’s Bay, Landry continues to believe that the forestry industry has an important role to play in the economic development of the Pontiac—though not necessarily through the establishment of large-scale factories.

When asked about the qualities that make him suited for the position of Warden, Jean-Pierre Landry said he is counting on his extensive knowledge of the Pontiac and his involvement in numerous local organizations to earn the support of the region’s residents.

Voting will take place this Sunday, November 2nd. The full interview with Jean-Pierre Landry, candidate for Warden of the MRC Pontiac, is available here.
