Election Overview in L’Île-du-Grand-Calumet: Sylvain Tremblay and Jean-Louis Corriveau Vie for Mayoral Seat

Outgoing mayor Jean-Louis Corriveau will face challenger Sylvain Tremblay in the upcoming mayoral election in L’Île-du-Grand-Calumet. Most of the candidacies in the municipality were submitted just before the nomination period closed.

This was also the case for former mayor Serge Newberry, whose seat as councillor for Ward 1 will be contested by Brian Duval. An election will also be held for the Ward 5 councillor position, with Marcelle Dumouchel and Francine Tremblay on the ballot.

Meanwhile, Riley Griffin (Ward 2), Chantal Corriveau (Ward 3), Jean-Guy Brousseau (Ward 4), and Adrienne Turgeon (Ward 6) were all elected by acclamation as councillors.
