Pontiac–Kitigan Zibi MP Sophie Chatel Moves Constituency Office to Fort-Coulonge
Sophie Chatel, Member of Parliament for Pontiac–Kitigan Zibi, has announced that her constituency office will be relocating to Fort-Coulonge, within the Pontiac territory. The new office will be housed in the Business Centre, formerly the Desjardins credit union. As a result, her Campbell’s Bay office will be closing shortly.
“This decision reflects our commitment to making services more accessible to the citizens of the Pontiac MRC and to providing close, community-based support. The goal is to be even more present across Pontiac–Kitigan Zibi. We want residents to feel that their constituency office is within reach—accessible and in touch with their daily realities. This move will allow us to be even more attentive and to respond quickly to the needs of citizens,” said Sophie Chatel, MP for Pontiac–Kitigan Zibi.
As reported by CHIP 101.9, Chatel also confirmed the hiring of Christine Francoeur as her new aide. “With her experience, Ms. Francoeur will make an essential contribution to serving residents. I am very pleased to welcome her, at the end of her mandate as mayor of Fort-Coulonge, to my team as political attaché for the riding. Her deep commitment to the community will be an invaluable asset in better serving the population,” Chatel added.
The new constituency office in Fort-Coulonge will officially open to the public on November 1, 2025, at which time the Campbell’s Bay office will also close. In the meantime, Ms. Chatel’s team remains available and can be contacted by email at sophie.chatel@parl.gc.ca or by phone at (819) 775-7970.
