Paul Charbonneau Sworn In as Director of Public Security for the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais
The Prefect of the MRC des Collines, Marc Carrière, officially swore in Paul Charbonneau on September 2 as Director of Public Security for the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais. The ceremony took place at the Centre Wakefield La Pêche in the municipality of La Pêche.
The event brought together numerous elected officials and partners of the MRC, along with delegates from Quebec police services and members of the MRC’s senior administration.
Charbonneau brings nearly 30 years of experience in policing, having held various leadership roles with the Sûreté du Québec and the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service. He holds a master’s degree in administration from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, where he also teaches risk management in public safety. Most recently, he led the 9-1-1 emergency dispatch division at the Gatineau Police Service.
“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Mr. Charbonneau to our team. His experience and dedication ensure that residents of the MRC can count on a reliable, transparent, and respectful Public Security service,” said Prefect Marc Carrière.
“I accept this appointment with deep pride and a strong sense of responsibility. With the support of the entire MRC team, I am committed to continuing our fundamental mission: to serve and protect citizens with dedication and integrity,” stated Paul Charbonneau, the new Director of Public Security for the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais.
