Back-to-School: Moisson Outaouais Launches Its 7th Annual “Helping Children, One Snack at a Time!” Campaign

Moisson Outaouais is proud to launch the 7th edition of its annual campaign “Helping Children, One Snack at a Time!”, an essential initiative to support children facing food insecurity. Every day, many families struggle with the question of how they will manage to fill their children’s lunch boxes—a heavy burden for those already having difficulty making ends meet. In response, Moisson Outaouais aims to provide healthy, nourishing snacks for children as they return to school.

The goal is to prepare and distribute 24,000 snacks to young people across the region—the equivalent of three snacks per day for a full week of school. Each bag will be filled with nutritious items such as apples, oranges, cheese, fruit compotes, granola bites, and cartons of milk.

“Providing nutritious snacks means investing in children’s health, growth, and healthy lifestyle habits. For some families, the back-to-school season is an expensive time, and this campaign is a concrete way to give them a helping hand,” explained Marie-Pier Chaput, Communications Director at Moisson Outaouais. “We invite everyone who wants to make a difference in children’s lives to join us. Every donation, no matter how small, will have a real impact and ensure kids head to school with nutritious snacks in hand.”
