MRC Pontiac warns of scam callers impersonating property inspectors

MRC Pontiac is warning residents that they have received reports of citizens receiving scam calls from people impersonating a municipal property inspector.

“Please be advised that MRC Pontiac inspectors can call you and explain the reason for their visit. They will always be identified with an ID card when they come to your home, and they will not offer any quotes for residential work,” the statement reads. “If in doubt, ask for an ID card and check their identity on our website: https://shorturl.at/Ug4hQ.
