Voyageurs Cycling Route (ON) receive expansion grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation
The subject of use of the Cycloparc PPJ has resurfaced in recent months. In that time, a committee was created at the MRC to look in to the multi-use of the bike path and an open letter was published in the May 22nd edition of the Pontiac Journal entitled: ”PPJ committee begins with a perceived bias” by the Green PPJ Verte group.
As a comparison to the Pontiac and the route Verte, CHIP 101.9 spoke to the Executive Director of the Discovery Routes Trails Organization, Jennifer McCourt, who said they were jealous of the Pontiac and of Quebec for the network of trails
This week, the Discovery Routes Trails Organization received a grant from Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) to expand the Voyageur Cycling Route across eastern Ontario: Through Renfrew county and Lanark county, from a 380km trail into a 645km trail from Ottawa to Sudbury.
