Mission of the organization : The primary mission of the Pontiac Community Radio is to inform and entertain its members, as well as all listeners, about what is happening in Pontiac and, on a larger scale, in Outaouais, Quebec, and elsewhere in the world, all to mobilize, act, and participate in the life of the people of Pontiac.
Job Description
The Pontiac Community Radio (CHIP101.9) is looking for a full-time permanent journalist-host.
Responsibilities
• Cover local news and attend certain community events.
• Write, produce, and read radio news bulletins.
• Host the Bonjour Pontiac show live from 6 AM to 9 AM.
• Update the news on our website chipfm.com.
• Collaborate with the CHIP 101.9 radio team for content creation.
• Carry out any other related tasks as requested by the general management.
• Participate in the broadcasting of the weekly programming on the airwaves of CHIP 101.9 FM.
Qualifications
• Degree in journalism, communication, or any other related field.
• Experience in radio journalism.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in French.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dynamic, initiative, and autonomy.
• Ease of communication in English.
• Autonomy, versatility, professionalism, rigor.
