In December, 2018, the municipality of Portage-du-Fort were supposed to have by-election to fill seat #6 after councilman Allan Ferrell stepped down from the council back in October, 2018. Note that the by-election date to fill the vacant seat will now be March 31st, advance polling on March 24th.
