Ouverture du Cinéma Lyn, un montant au projet Piscine Pontiac sera versé pour chaque entrée
Le Cinéma Lyn est maintenant réouvert à Fort-Coulonge, la propriétaire, femme d’affaires et politicienne bien connue dans la région, Jane Toller, a dévoilé qu’elle allait remettre un montant pour chaque entrée au cinéma, au projet de Piscine Pontiac, qu’elle espère voir les premiers travaux, à l’automne prochain.
« (Caleb: Alright, so can you explain a little bit about this plan you have with the pool and the newly opened cinema there?) Yes the night of the gala on June the ninth, I stated that, as people pay for their tickets of admission, that a portion of the ticket will go towards the aquagym. This aquagym has been sought after for 25-30 years and has never been built and this is the year we’re going to start building it. And so, as an awareness, so that people in the Pontiac can know that there is a plan to move forward and also to create some community fundraising rather than asking people for money at this point. They’re buying a ticket anyways, so I’d like to see a portion of it, it will go towards the aquagym. (Caleb: Is this in perpetuity or for a set period of time here?) Well Im sure, least until it’s built. »

Le projet Piscine Pontiac est prévu pour être construit sur le terrain près du Centre de loisirs des Draveurs Century 21 Élite à Fort-Coulonge.
Jane Toller a réitéré aussi son désir de préserver la salle et le bâtiment du Cinéma Lyn comme la population locale l’avait connu dans le passé.
« J’ai besoin de faire une amélioration spécialement avec l’équipement, mais j’ai réalisé que c’est très important de retenir l’original look, you know regard, pour les gens du Pontiac retourne. I wanted them to say it’s a walk down memory lane. »
