Red Cross helps disaster victims
The Red Cross is assisting communities affected by the floods in Quebec. Many Red Cross volunteers take turns daily at the Outaouais and Pontiac reception and information centers, and are on standby to help if the need arises. Pascal Mathieu, Vice-President of the Canadian Red Cross says that volunteers are on hand to help families with their needs whether it be food, clothing or a place to stay;

Red Cross volunteers take turns day and night to provide services according to the needs of each region. In order to carry out their disaster relief work, a relief fund was set up to help once the waters recede. To make a donation to the Canadian Red Cross go to redcross.ca or call 1-800-418-1111
